Welcome to the 33rd
running of the largest and one of the longest continuously run races in
Arizona, the Phoenix 10k.. New venue, old name. We are excited to be back
to where we started, running and walking through the streets of Phoenix. As
many of you know, we have undergone numerous changes in the past 33 years.
Throughout those years of change we have always been able to maintain our
original goal which was to make this an event for not only world class
athletes but neighborhood joggers and walkers as well. The course is
guaranteed to be fast and festive, the post race Party in the Park will have
refreshments for the participants live entertainment and vendors showing
the latest in footwear & accessories. We look forward to seeing you at the

Post race activities near the finish including music, vendor samplings & prizes. EVENTS WITHIN Corporate Challenge: Team competition where the combined times of EVENTS the fastest 3 finishers of the team are counted towards the overall team
Age Race: Participants who complete the course in a time less than their age on Race Day will receive a certificate. & gift from Runners Den. Double Header: Participants who run in the 5K Run and the 10K Run USAT&F Championship: The Phoenix 10K has been selected by USAT&F to be the state championship race for the 10K distance. (must be Arizona resident to qualify) ATHLETE INCENTIVE MONEY. Run fast, win money. Costume Contest: Individual winners and caterpillar winner (caterpillar is a group of 10 or less that run or walk together) Win great prizes.
LOCATION The course Start and Finish Lines are located around Wesley Bolin Plaza at 16th Avenue and Adams - downtown Phoenix by the State Capitol.
Packet Mail BackRegister before October 30th and you may choose to have your race number and T-shirt mailed to you for an additional $5.00. Simply mark YES for the mail back question. Multiple registrations using the same mail back address that are done at the same time may take a discount on the postage fee. Mailing of packets will start around October 13th.Packet PickupRace packet pickup will take place at Runners Den located at 6505 N. 16th Street in Phoenix. Packet pickup will be available Monday, 11/3 - Friday 11/7 from 10am to 6pm and Saturday November 8th from 10am to 4:30pm. Packets can also be picked up race day morning at the race site registration area starting at 6:30am. This will be in the parking area on the North side of Wesley Bolin ParkUSATF ChampionshipThe Phoenix 10K/5K has been selected by USATF to be the state championship race for the 10K and 5K distances. You must be an Arizona resident to qualify and you must register prior to race day. USATF medals to top 10 male & female AZ finishers in the 10K. USATF medals to top 5 male & female AZ finishers in the 5K. USATF medals to top 5 male & female Arizona Masters in 10K and 5K.Beat Your AgeRun the 10K in fewer minutes than your age on race day and we will automatically send a certificate to mark the accomplishment. Nothing extra to sign up for however you must run with a timing chip for your time to be recorded. Official times will be chip time.Special NotesRegistration fees are non-refundable. Race will be held rain or shine. For the safety and enjoyment of all race participants, the course is restricted to runners, joggers, walkers, self-propelled wheelchairs and strollers. All pets, skateboards, any shoes with wheels, bicycles, baby joggers (except in the stroller stroll) and motorized vehicles are strictly prohibited.Timing Chips The race will be timed by CEP Timing using AMB chips. Chips will be available on race day morning at a special area adjacent to the registration area. The chips are valued at $70 and MUST be left at the finish line area after running. Note: Champion chips will not work on this system PURPOSEWith the goal of providing a community event that celebrated fitness and physical well-being, Dr. Art Mollen created the Phoenix 10K in 1976. To further support the community, the event has raised funds for various nonprofit organizations throughout the valley over the past 33 years. The Phoenix 10K is one of the longest consistently run 10K races in the United States, and the largest 10K race in Arizona.
